Art Nouveau exhibition @ Hermitage Amsterdam:
13 October 2007 – 5 May 2008, daily 10:00 – 17:00. This exhibition presents the Art Nouveau collection in the Hermitage in St Petersburg. Amongst the major works are the gifts to the last Russian tsars made by French diplomats in their search for allies against Germany at the end of the 19th century.
Queens Day Amsterdam:
The Queens Day (›Koninginnedag‹) on April 30 is a national holiday in the Netherlands, originally as a celebration of the birthday of former Queen Juliana. In the last years Queens Day became more of a huge open air event with one to two million visitors in Amsterdam. And there are as well lots of parties in bars and clubs in the night before Queens Day and at the following weekend.
