Gay Cafes & Restaurants in Madrid

Most of Madrid's gay cafes and restos are in the Chueca area which is popular for going out not only among gay people. Thus, you'll find a nice mix of people in most of Chueca's cafes and restaurants, both gay and straight.

Tip for budget travellers: Some of the restaurants in Madrid offer a menu of the day (›Menú del Día‹) for lunch and/or a menu of the night (›Menú de Noche‹) for dinner. These menus usually include 3 courses (starter, main dish, dessert) and sometimes a drink or coffee. Although you have limited choice (typically 3 different dishes for each course), these menus are an inexpensive option for having a proper meal, especially the menu of the day (approx. 10–12 €).

Important note: Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, many places are closed or opening hours may have changed. Please check the websites and Facebook pages of the respective venues for the latest information.
